004 Civil War in Limerick
This is the first of an eight-page spread showing rarely, if ever seen, pictures by the same un-named photographer, of the Civil War in Limerick. Each picture carried the date and a little caption on the back of the photograph and thanks to Martin and Norma Naughton for making them available to me.
On this page, a Condensed Milk Company truck was used to transport a Field Gun and Free State troops from Limerick to Kilmallock, on July 29, 1922. Note the spoked wheels and half-track chain on the truck which seems to be powered by steam
